Craig is the youngest of three children in a strong musical and dancing family. A talented footballer, Craig didn’t start dancing until the age of 12 when he stumbled upon dance by mistake.
It was a mistake that was to prove significant as he soon took to the floor and within 6 months was dancing in his first competition – which he won. Craig began his Open Junior career with Kimberley Taylor and within 3 years he was ranked 5th in the world in the Junior Category.
His determination and hard work started to pay off and went on to achieve success at the British Open Under 21 Championships making the final in 2003 with Claire Hansen. In August 2004 Craig moved to the USA to dance with Katya Afanaseva. They quickly achieved success and they were USA National Vice Champions in 2005 and 2006 representing the USA on both occasions in the World Championships.
In 2006 they also went on to become the North American Champions by winning the Ohio Star Ball. Craig’s ‘american experience’ proved valuable and he quickly built up his teaching experience, providing tuition and workshops in New York, Houston and San Diego as well as coaching Yale and Princeton University teams.
In April 2008 Craig and Natasha formed their professional partnership and decided to represent England in competition. Craig and Natasha are looking forward to new challenges and to bringing some of their individuality and passion to the dance.
